Newtown Square’s Twirl is proud to be the only dance studio in Delaware County and Chester County that has a dance program designed specifically for students with Down syndrome.
Fueled by Twirl’s philosophy of “All for dance. Dance for all.” students with Down syndrome work on improving movement skills, coordination, and memorization as they explore jazz and musical theatre dance styles. Students also have performance opportunities at community events and Twirl’s end of the year show.
2024-25 Down Syndrome Dance Class
Classes run continuously from September 5, 2024 to June 2, 2025.
Mondays 5:30-6:30pm (ages 11+)
Down Syndrome Dance Dress Code
- Girls- Black dancewear including T-shirts, sweat pants, leggings, or shorts (leotard and tights are not required). Sneakers with clean soles or tan slip-on jazz shoes.
- Boys- Black dancewear including T-shirts, sweat pants, and shorts. Sneakers with clean soles or black slip-on jazz shoes.
